Why You May Have To Rescue Another Individual Sometime

By Myels A Walker

Fred's words echoed in my mind: You can't discount stun guns as defensive gadgets even though you feel you will not ever have a need for one. Well, I was fairly certain this would serve me no purpose right up until that night when I spotted how two guys beat a girl up who refused to hand her money over.

I stood frozen in place while observing everything take place. Stun guns are non deadly. If I had one right at that moment, then one of those 2 bad guys would be in pain because of the electrical shock, enough to be disoriented and also lose his balance. But incapacitation is non permanent, several minutes at most. And there won't be any long term harm.

Probably, I might have no need to defend myself but I might have saved somebody else from injury if I toted one. What did Fred say? A stun weapon buys enough time to get away. And it simply takes 1 to 5 seconds of contact on the neck, shoulder, tummy or groin to truly zap the crook and then make a run for it.

Even a low voltage stun weapon having a milder stunning effect would have dealt with those 2 thugs immediately given just enough contact on the appropriate spot.

A 100,000-volt straight Stun Master stun device would still have been a lifesaver in case I had one to use that evening. A one-second application could have meant one less bruise on the gal since the pain was likely to stop the guy.

Low voltage may suggest less possibility of damage to the enemy however the effect gives reprieve to the prey. At 4.5 inches, the straight stun equipment comes with a wrist strap so this would not just be bumped out of your hand.

This is a tiny stun gun, which makes it convenient to lug. And any weapon to protect yourself or somebody else with is much better than none.

Fred is right. I shouldn't discount stun weapons with regards to defending myself or others outside.
