The One Lie Running Your Entire Life

By Evan Sanders

Yes...seriously.

Seriously. There's been a story that has been running your entire life and you may not even know it. Or, you may know it but have absolutely no idea how to get out of it.

It's not your fault.

We've all been fed this story and it's incredible powerful.

Knowing this lie and what it does to your life can literally change your world.

I know because it changed mine.

The big lie is this: there's a place and time in your life where everything will magically "turn out" and you will be happy.

Let me explain.

Imagine you are in a rowboat heading towards this "island where it all turns out." This island is the land of where all your dreams, hopes, aspirations, and goals come true...and when you get there...you will be happy. But there's one major problem with all of this...

This island doesn't exist.

This place is an absolute mirage.

Despite the fact it is a mirage, it's incredibly enticing and will keep you rowing your boat towards it as long as you live because you think that this is where your happiness exists.

Living this way brings out an incredibly messy lifestyle. It puts you on a timeline where you focus on the black and white side of life, on progress, on a strictly future driven mentality and that will cause great amounts of discomfort.

It will bring out anxiety, fear, doubt, worry, and pretty much every other negative emotion in the book because you aren't slowing down at all and constantly seeking a place you will never get to.

AND THIS IS EXHAUSTING.

But most never get the opportunity to shift their perspective so they spend the rest of their lives rowing rowing rowing and even if they do achieve some of what they wanted for themselves, they realize that their happiness still doesn't live in those things or places.

What do you think mid-life crisis is all about?

What is the shift that needs to take place in order for you to exit out of this way of thinking?

You have to model your life after the amoeba. What?! The amoeba? Yes...let me explain further.

When you start viewing your life as an ever-changing, shifting, and morphing entity you end up focusing more on growth. You see life as very colorful, an opportunity for learning, experiences, change and development.

But here's where it get's really good.

This type of living brings out incredible things in you. Because when you are focus on what's actually developing in your life, you jump off the timeline, you start living more in the present and focus on "what's actually here or what's going on?" and you exit the future.

Start living in the present. You can spend your entire life rowing to this place you will never get to or you can connect with what is right in front of you.

If you can really slow down and connect you will see incredibly changes in your life.

Everything is possible when you live in this type of world.

So pull your oars out of the water and ask yourself right now, "What's actually here? What's really going on in my life? What do I have to be grateful for?

Stop rowing.
