What To Find In Memoirs About Leaving Home

By Jason Fox

A child born at home is received with a lot of love and joy. Everyone in the house wants to hold and please the baby. After some years, the toddle is all grown up and ready to start schooling and soon it wants to make decisions on its own. Time moves fast and in no time, once a small helpless kid want to go out and live on their own. This is a review of memoirs about leaving home where young people take upon themselves to seek freedom. There are things that majority of the young adolescents miss from their family after they have left.

It is common for most young people to yearn for the day they would leave their home and have absolute freedom from their parents. The reason why many of them decide to get out from the nest could emanate from injurious family or imposing a lot of restriction on them. You will notice that adolescents will always want to break the rules set for them.

Years ago, majority of those who left their homes was to get the freedom to do what they wish without constant supervision from their parents. After they have gone, the experience that each one of them goes through is different. There are those that have negative outcomes while others find fulfillment and growth. This usually depends on how one was before leaving their parents house.

The urge to leave home can begin from home; it could be because of peer pressure or other issues in the family. However, it is important to note that not all those who decide to get out of their parents supervision do so because of negative events. There are those that become of age and would want to give their parents some space and relieve them the burden. Others are admitted to distant colleges.

Some of the common things that those who leave their homes experience include missing the love and companion they used to with their parents. The majority of young people take this aspect for granted while back in their guardians house but after they are alone, it is when it dawns on them that it was important. Living on your own means taking all responsibility will entail paying bills, working to get income and buying other basic things.

Being away from home is not easy; it dawns on them when they face the reality of their decision. Majority leaves with their friends and colleagues, which in a while make their lives happy and the best. However, after sometimes, the friendship fades away when they all start taking responsibility and seek life in a different perspective. It requires self-management and planning. Those who experience difficult had not learnt a thing from their parents.

As most memoirs indicate, those who leave their homes because of peer pressure and other negative reasons often suffer the most. However, those who are assisted to establish their new lives by their parents and go because of positive circumstances always excel. How ones decide to take freedom determines what they experience in the real world.

It is not easy for both parents and children when parting time comes. However, it can be easy if there are positive reasons because there will be support from all corners. It implies that leaving should not be done by force or bitterness but through a gradual process.
