Make Recycled Home Decor With A Paper Bead Roller

By William Hill

When spring cleaning, a lot of people tend to overlook some obvious things that take up precious space and make the process longer. Although everyone is entitled to keep sentimental items around their home, not everything qualifies as such. Good examples of this are old books and magazine, unused notebook sheets, and even newspapers. If sending these items to a recycling center is not an option, then a paper bead roller or electric shredder can create numerous possibilities.

The art of thorough cleaning requires an honest assessment of what is really needed around the house. For instance, a family sometimes has more dishes than they really need. This is especially true if the kids have moved out or guests may not pay frequent visits like did once before. Glasses and other breakables may be packed into boxes with shredded paper for protection.

Even if two hours seems like a long time, they should consider the time spent driving around and looking for new items. Some people will dedicate an entire day and only come up with a handful of items for a single room. This is okay for people that do not mind ongoing projects or love making things but others may want to use their free time for other matters.

Simple projects that can make a difference are normally small in size but there are cases where embellishments can make a difference. Small or medium beads are very functional around the home. However, it can a nuisance to shop for the right beads or the right size when bead rollers allow the user to make the size they need.

This movement has allowed many crafters to have a nice income. Although many start out selling their ware part time, few have been able to quit their salaried jobs and do this full time. Normally, the ones who create the most unique designs and market them effectively seem to make the strongest transition.

With a little creativity, anyone can make these things by hand or with the use of small tools. All a person has to do is gather items that can be functional but easy to use. Duct tape, wire, glue, and small screws can make a number of products that can be used every day. Basic crafting kits contain items needed by beginners and have project ideas that can be completed in a matter of minutes.

Old boxes are great for storing items and with reinforcements, they can be stacked on top of one another and secured with a bonding adhesive or by nailing together. Beads may be used decoration or to create a wire handle. Paper beads are far more economical than buying large beads at a crafts store and in some cases, more durable.

There are a number of home decor tips and craft projects to be found online or in books and magazines. Though some may seem advanced, beginner books are ideal for those getting their feet wet. For some, these projects may be relaxing and give their home a unique look that is worthy of being featured in a magazine.
